Jhoolta Minar

This is Jhoolta Minar (Shaking Minarets) of Ahmedabad. People going to Ahmedabad conclude their journey with Akshardham Temple or other places.  I have asked many people about the Jhoolta Minar and shockinlgy none of them heard about it.

It was built by Ahmed Shah in 1445.
If you shake one minaret, the other minaret also shakes.
Jhoolta Minar is one of the miracle architecture of not only Ahmedabad but of India.

These minarets are carved so beautifully

It was a time for Namaz, when I took this picture

Its circular ceiling

Its well erected pillars.
The hanging ceiling fans and lights for the Namazees,
diminshing its beauty.

The left portion is renovated by the ASI recently.

It was disheartening to see this miracle surrounded by a huge slum when a Temple which was built only recently,
was protected by Z security.

A coincidence

While taking the rounds of the magnificent icon of Kolkata-The Victoria Memorial- and capturing its various images,
I was amazed to find this conicidence.
One of the statues installed above the porch on the back side of the Memorial resembles the Queen of Hearts,
the Lady Diana.
I was astonished to see this coincidence....as if the future of the British empire was written between 1906 to 1921 by
Sir William Emerson in Kolkata.
The statue shows the lady adoring three kids which depicts  motherhood.
