Netaji - My Hero

Visit to Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose's house at 38/ 2 Elgin Road, Kolkata is indeed a pilgrimage .

A rickshaw puller proudly sitting in front of the Netaji's house.

The car used by Netaji to escape from Calcutta,
I wish the custodians of Netaji's House should think about giving a ride in the car.

These are the stairs which helped Netaji to climb down in January 1941 from his house arrest to achieve the greater heights in the freedom struggle.

Writing on the wall, excerpts from Netaji's writings...which says "In this mortal world, everything perish and will perish - but ideas, ideas and dreams do not."

the feelings that evoked while walking through the coridors of this magnificent place can not be poured in words

Netaji's room in on the first floor of the house,  the moment we entered the first floor, we were asked to shut down our cameras which seemed injustice.  Wanted to take the pictures of the place where Netaji spent his time while sleeping, reading, eating etc.

Ideas of Sarat Chandra Bose engraved on the wall.

on the first floor of the house the coat, cap, shoes worn by him are on display.  Wanted to try those dresses so that I can have the feel of Netaji...I wish....

wanted to sit in this car....anyhow.
I came out of the house and found  a mall with all the imported brands right in front of Netaji's house.
I wonder whether people who thronged this Mall have ever stepped into 38/2, Elgin Road
or it is meant for the tourists only.

The Taj glory of India

wah taj

as the story goes....through these beautifully corridors with carved pillars..

through this magnificent door.......

crossing this beautifully decorated magnificently huge door.....

a symbol of love......

of an empror for his beloved wife....so much beloved that she died while delivering his fourteenth child.....

.....buried on this shore of Yamuna - a sacred river....so much sacred....now turned into a  stinking drain....

...here stands this glory of India.....

....supported by its strong minarets.....

....looking itself in the dirty waters of the pond....

....engraved sparkling precious stones and carved flowers.....

....showing the intricacies of artisans.....

....the carved windows above....

....intricately weaved dreams of artisans with the dreams of an empror for his beloved, in the marble...

......even after so many hundered years...
one can feel the beauty.....

...not a single mistake......

... a poetry in stone....

....here lies the beloved queen....

...surrounded by these artistically carved pillars of the tomb...

.....ankhiyon ke jharokhon se....the masjid...

whatever the story ... no matter..... Taj is the glory of India,
an Icon....an identity of India.....
belongs to religion of love......
let it remain like that...
keep it like a dream in eyes...

wah taj...
