SPIRITUALITY - I

Attended the Workshops on Empowering Administrators on Good Governance and its Sustainability at the Headquarters of Brahma Kumaris Organisation at Mount Abu. Main sessions were held at the Universal Harmony Hall.

It is a well built campus with Hostel Accommodation and
Dining Hall.

The Workshop was inaugurated with all Glitterati with lighting of Lamps and VIPs who graced the stage and long long praises were sung under the pictures of Baba, the founder and Divine light (proclaimed by the BKs). We were told that how, the VIP (who sat there for half an hour because of other engagements) is so down to earth with the soft heart.

Statue of Saraswati at the Universal Hall

This Universal Peace Hall standing tall without any pillars inside.  The BK Guide after a round of the Hall led us inside the PEACE (?) Hall and requested all of us to have a glance at all the pictures and posters pasted on the wall. One of the Posters boasting सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्मचर्य ही सम्पूर्ण अहिंसा है (?) How ? He couldn't describe.  He was of the view that we all are running here and there to earn money, to get admission of our kids to better school, which is of no use. He gave the example of Dogs on the streets that they also litter and all their puppies are growing without any money so why human being are running after money.  In the last part of his sermon, he suggested all to think of God only as we are sacred souls and one day we all have to meet our Parmatama. Rubbish. He was forgetting that had his parents adopted sampoorn brahmcharya, he could have not been born to deliver his sermons. How one can denounce his or her parents who have brought him or her on this planet and brought him up. I have failed to understand.

A Garden being built in the name of one of the Dadis.  Dadis are the senior most Brahma Kumari. How a Kumari becomes Dadi, no body explained it to me. The golden model is the replica of Pushpak Vimaan which used to adore the skies of India during SATYUG, when every body was happy and India was called Sone ki Chidiya. We had Airplanes in Satyug but today we are importing all this technology from Foreign countries. Ahem.

This model depicting all the Yugas.  Golden one is Satyug or Swaran Yug when India was a Sone ki Chidiya. When every body was happy, honest and state was providing all the facilities to its people.  Average human life span was 100,000. Then came Treta Yug which is also called Silver Era where virtue diminished and the life span of of average human being reduced to 1,000 to 10,000. Lord Rama was born in this era. Then came Dwapra Yug which is called Copper Era. Here people became tainted and average human life further diminished. Kishna was born in this era. The came Kalyug or which is called by BKs as Stone age. It is full of darkness, pollution and corruption and the average human age further diminished to 100 years only and it is believed that by the end of this Era the average human age will reduced to 20 years. And I was born in this Era.  While in school we were taught that the Average human age is 50 to 60 which has now been increased.

A plant is being designed in the shape of Shivalingam at Peace Park. This peace park is built in the design of of Mughal Architecture and was open to people.  We were told that after visiting this park you will forget the Mughal Gardens of Rashtrpati Bhawan.  Well, I didn't have that feel.

Kitchen of the Ashram where free meals were distributed to all.  Food was good and healthy and sumptuous but as always happens with me, I found a dead flea in my curd on my first day.

In total it was a good experience spending few days in the lap of mother nature from all hullabaloo of cities.  It was a monsoon season so we can see the clouds at lower heights and can feel the clouds fondly and lovingly patting our cheeks.

I have heard number of sermons of Gurus, Babas on Television and here also heard many Didis and few of Dadis and other faculty.  Every body talks about God, the Almighty or the spiritual light where we have to submerge ourselves one day, everybody talks about meeting the Almighty and here also during lectures every body talks about leading our country to Golden Era. But I was shocked to see that no body talks or talked about character building, no body talks about making our citizens a responsible citizen.  How can we progress without being responsible and without a strong character, no body was there to explain it, because they were all under the doze of Opium called Religion.
